Wicked!!!!!! Did anybody else see the broadway musical Wicked? Me and my gf saw it at the Paramount here in Seattle last night and thought it was amazing.

Simply great!

I took a picture with my sidekick3 before the show started (shh!) but it didn't turn out so hot.

Sir kindly to hope me, I am researching internets folklore. There was this thing whereby people would go to MeFi (or maybe MetaTalk) posts that had numbers that were multiples of a certain number added to either 1142 or 9622 or one of those quirky thread numbers, and make them into a quirky thread, with much frivolity/gifs etc. Does this ring any bells? What was the system and where are the threads? ta

So I order far too much food from Magic Oven (pizza joint in Toronto). They have a $3 delivery charge no matter how much you order or where you live which is really lame but the food's real good. Do I have to tip the delivery guy or is that $3 like a built in gratuity thing at fancy restaurants? I normally tip $2 or $3 for food delivery but $6 is absurd and I'm sick of paying it. Thoughts?

This is very serious. The reader should be careful to observe that, insomuch as the roadmap relies on Blogs, network philosophy is the clue to the potential of business models. In view of these considerations, I assert that interactive content exists in the members. The Concept/Beta, in other words, proves the validity of Web 2.0 technologies.

In my present remarks I am referring to a roadmap only in so far as it is founded on hypothetical principles.

So. Long time lurker, tried to make friends in bunny chat a while back, now sick at home and DP. I made every stop on my short list on the WWW today, and nothing cheered me, not even vintage videos of Yello on YouYube. Please send me somewhere, nubbies. Oh, and I whuffle strangers when I'm drunk. 'lo.
My corner store has an excellent beer selection. Tonight I purchased a beer called Three Philosophers. In my fridge, I have a beer that's a tribute to Lenny Bruce who was something of a philosopher himself. If I drink them both, that's four philosophers down the hatch. And with all my talking online, I'm something of a philosopher myself, so that makes five philosophers.

Makes you think.

Free Beer! It's a beer. It's, um... Free Beer. It's confusing the helloutta people. Added link for padding is here. MeCha doesn't allow unhelpful link text, so it is here: Beer is one of the world's oldest alcoholic beverages. It is a fermented beverage made from malted barley, hops and water, and is carbonated in almost all cases. A wide variety of adjuncts can also be added to beer, either to achieve a particular flavor profile, or to lower the cost of production.

"Free Beer" is reversed back again here as a cool (I like it, anyway) synonym for "open source." Free Beer! I think that was a band name once. It fooled plenty of people into going to their shows.

A Pondered Life Sixteen years ago I was in Jackson, Mississippi, and the owner of the bed- and-breakfast at which I was staying gave me Eudora Welty's address at 1119 Pinehurst Street, across from Bellhaven College. Miss Welty loves visitors, I was told, and I should feel free and welcome to go knock on her door.

What Jason had for dinner tonight It's rent time and I'm kind of bummed because I have no money. I can't afford to eat at the places where I normally eat.

So I threw together a pork chop, some of last night's red sauce, and a big, runny pile of polenta.

Now I am no longer bummed.

Polenta is good food.
