Emotion: hilarity.

Not staged. This is her natural personality.

I laughed until I cried when I saw this one:

I has a couple, but I've got a plane to catch so here's one, and more when I get back from the weekend of debauchery. The picture is from My Lai, the text makes it so much more for me, as an anti-war anti-cruelty pic from the 70's, a theme that was echoed in the punk songs that I listened to 20 years ago (Discharge is one band that had a song called "Q: And children? A: And children."). [Link]

≡ Click to see image ≡I guess this is my most squick out photo. BP's is weirding me out and I like bees. In more turtle news that may evoke a strong reaction (laughter?) I offer forth this:

Does it have to be squick?

And as for kids with attitude, well Mike, looks like we're both going to have our hands full.

I was picking up rocks in a back lot this morning and found this. It made me happy for some reason. The back lot made me wish we'd waited a couple of months to buy a house... wooded and too gorgeous.

A touching inscription on an old gravestone. Check out the spelling of the word "birth". There's a tiny "r" inscribed above. Oh, and remember, the first "s" in most words back then
looks like an "f".

In December of 1887, the Blackwood family of 73 Atkinson Street, Rochester NY lost three children, Adelaide, aged 4, Julia ("Daisy"), aged 9, and Frederick, aged 12 all to diphtheria. Now kids get their DPT innoculations and no one dies of diptheria anymore.

This one breaks my heart. Sometimes things don't work out the way you hope, I guess.
