I'm effed Hot new job, right? You'd think they'd tell me in advance[More:] that in my new hire packet I need to do a background check (no problem) and a piss test (problem). I gotta stall and all. I'm so nervous. Not to mention perscription drugs. WTF? It's not a big deal to study for the piss test, but I have to stall big time. Soooo nervous.
Um, how recent was your, *cough* error on the test, and how often do you *cough* flunk it?

(oftentimes these tests don't pick up occasional use, I'm told, and I managed to pass one despite having indulged less than 2 weeks previous)

There's always these folks.

They sell pee tests at the drug store, and if I needed to pass a test like that, I would take a pop quiz at home first to see what the results might be. My best thoughts to rainbaby!!!

With stalling, I can get ten to fourteen days, and while it's part of my home culture, I'm not heavy, but I am steady. Maximum 2-5 coughs 3-4 times a week, but over a long duration of time. I hate to think of cheating it, lawd. Not to mention I can't think of a willing donor. I gotta home kit from the drugstore that I'll try after about six days to see where I'm at, and I'm exercising, saunaing, and drinking water. Man.

On the bright side -- at least they're not asking for a stool sample.

10 days to two weeks of study is generally enough for even of the stupidest of students. Drink LOTS of water while studying and and TONS day of test. (Take a b-complex vitamin the day of test to get your color back.)

Even if you fail, you'll probably get a second chance to eliminate false positives (and hence more study time).

This is a one-time on-hire test right? They're not gonna spring randoms on you, eh?

good luck, rainbaby! If your home test doesn't give you love, stall a bit longer... if they let you loose, it will still be better than being let loose because of a bad return on the official test, I imagine.

Right, taz, that's my theory. It is one time, dano, and yes, I've researched that stuff. I'm worried that it might be pass/fail, no details, though - company policy, etc. You know, what does the lab tell the company. Oh geez.

rainbaby, just don't drive the wrong way at the rest stop and you'll be fine.

Another tip: Stop eating *all* fat. Right now. Eat zero fat of any sort. Avoid fat during entire studying period, drink lots of water, rest, etc.

On the day of the test - along with your water and vitamins - eat a fuckton of fatty foods. Go for the quadruple cheeseburger. Wash it down with a pound of bacon or a stick of butter. Wash that down with a milkshake. Hell, go for a 100-300 grams of saturated fat. (However, avoid trans-fats, which you should be doing anyway.)

*cough* binds to fat - it's fat soluble. It sheds metabolites into your waste stream from - of course - your fat cells. Starving yourself of fat helps speed up the process, and the fat the day of the test helps bind it and put your fat cells back into storage mode.
