So, this page is blocked from work now (seems to be anything with "chat" in the URL), and I've been gone for a whilllle with internet issues.
I have one thing to say about that: Verizon, go suck a tailpipe. Time Warner, you deserve cookies!
We called about setting up our internet (DSL via Verizon, which is now available without also getting a landline) about a week before we moved. They were supposed to have it all done within a week of our moving in. Spelled my name wrong. Postponed. Postponed again. Corrected my name for the fifth time. Postponed again. And again. Finally, I was so disgusted (and worried since, well, if they treat you like this without a contract, how would they be once we were stuck with them for a year?), I called Time Warner.
They asked "is tomorrow OK?"
So, for $15 more a month than DSL, I can deal with a company who actually seems to know what they're doing. (they just took over for Adelphia in my area). Seems a small price to pay knowing they'll actually be able to help if there's ever a problem.
Still in love with the new apartment, even though our electrical system isn't even up to the codes from the year my roommate and I were born.
Pretty much unpacked at this point, with only decorating to do.
And, we got a cat.
So, that's me in a nutshell at the moment. How are all of you fine folks doing?
