Another "I wish I had my camera," moment. I just went to get lunch from one of the steam table buffets in the area, and the handwritten sign over a tray of roast beef read "Beef in Grave Sauce."

Mmmm.
The spirit of George Romero is alive and well at the Korean market. Blah - Blah! Hiss!

Whatcha get?

That sauce tastes mouldy.

at least the beef was dead, I don't like to eat cows that are still breathing

Fried Fish, BBQ Pork and some kind of pasta-tuna-casserole contraption. The grave sauce didn't look too appetizing, even if they got it from a fresh grave.

I had a moment like that at the end of August. I was in my car behind a minivan with a very dusty exterior, and someone had finger-scrawled in the dust, in what looked like a child's handwriting, "autum sucks."

I once saw a sign saying "GREEN PAPERS" over a squishy corner-store vegetable counter.

The spellchecker on Word once changed 'Branston Pickle' to 'Brain Stem Pickle' on our lunch menu at work.

I always knew the organisation was run by zombies.

Last week, on my way up to the Olympic Peninsula, I drove past a guy selling those big velvet flag things people decorate their walls with. Juxtaposed on the clothes line were a confederate flag and a giant pot leaf.

Hmmm... that "beef grave" would've gone great with the "beef loaf" my college dorm served all too regularly...

(For the best effect, say "beef loaf" as if you're about to upchuck the chuck...)

"Beef in Grave Sauce"

Man, that's some serious gravy.

At my old buffet place in LA, they served that notable veggie "Bob Choy." (He was quite tender.)
