nip/tuck is an over the top, sexy night-time soap opera. It's a pretty good show and moves at an insane pace. It comes on the F/X channel at 10 EST on Tuesday in the US. Last week, for instance:
The lesbian nurse/assistant of the show's two main characters (plastic surgeons) was picked up in a bar by a hottie, who took her back to her place, got her drunk, and surgically removed her kidney to sell on the black market after she passed out.
A plastic surgeon patient (played by Melissa Gilbert) came to the doctors to have breast reconstructive surgery done, because her Rottie had torn her nipple off when she tried to break up a fight between him and another dog. It turned out that her husband was a military man who was gone for months at a time, and she was getting it on with her dog, who she lured into bed by putting peanut butter on some of her...shall we say...certain body parts. The corgi with the peanut butter reminded me of that. Those are just two of the things that happened.
Thanks for the recap, sounds like it was a pretty good one, but the show just lost me last season by turning into a hamfisted schlockfest.
It's a show i use to like to watch once (and then never felt the need to see reruns of) because it use to approach a lot of topics and use its shock value effectively. I caught a little of the first epi and probably will some more just because just because i loves me some Dinklage.
They didn't dump the Dinklage already, did they?
