bwaahaahaa! yes, anyone who's been a 4-H or FFA type knows those are scrimsheets. they're to keep them clean and keep the wool 'blocked' (don't ask) before a show.
My first thought on seeing the picture was that the farmer was taking his girlfriends, Baabaaraa and Mehhhry, to some kind of farmyard fetishwear show.
In fact, dressing sheep keeps the wool clean. It does not have to be washed so harshly after shearing, so the lanolin is kept in the wool, which makes it softer and more valuable.
OK, I'm a little conflicted there - maybe put them in a neat little circle and then eat them? - but who gives a damn about sheep anyway when you can be out chasin' foxies?
