OMG! I got a raise! My boss just told me that human resources approved a pay raise for me! This is the first time in my proffesional career I've got one! w00t!

I gave myself a raise last night. I went to the Kinki Invention Building (har-har) to make a pitch for a website, but when I got there they said I didn't have to pitch because they didn't ask anyone else because my last site (promoting a bid to host an int'l conference) helped them win, so just give us some more of that magic. So, off the top of my head, I added $500 to my fee. They didn't say anything about it.

yay, congrats!! I've gotten a few (verrry small) raises here and there over the years, but it was not till a couple of months ago that I got the first promotion of my professional life. I'm still kind of in shock.
