Test Your Civics -- America's top students struggled to answer these questions. Can you do better?
I got 7 out of 8 right.

I've decided to run for president. I must've done better than the guy in there now. VOTE MC!

All but #2. I knew the right answer (Jefferson's leter) but expected the test would say "The Constitution" was correct.

I got them all except the first one. Not bad for a kiwi.

5 out of 8. I got the first 3 questions wrong.
But I have an excuse.

I got 6 out of 8. Not as good as gaspode, but she's a Kiwi who lives in the US, so she should do better than me.

I already knew young people were stupid, though - I don't need a quiz to tell me that.

7/8. Said "military" for largest payout, even tho I knew historically that it wasn't. (Thought that in the past few WoT years, the ratio might have changed. Of course, the answer is based on published budget figures, innit?)

And gaspode, right on! I'd like to think that, Yank livin' in AKL, I could do as well on an Enzed quiz, but I doubt it.

yes, and over time they become old people who are stupid and senile, god help us.

7/8, baby! Suck it, young stuff!

I would have gotten seven, but I waffled on question 4 (what's specifically prohibited in the Bill of Rights?). The last question got me.

Umm, those questions had little or nothing to do with Civics. Better questions would have asked about spoiler downforce, novelty gear shifter knobs, and the speed benefits of adding various stickers.

Same here. 7/8

Me: Canuck. Score: 7/8, also blew the largest-payout question. Betting I'd do worse on a Canadian version (e.g. I can name from memory the U.S. presidents back to Buchanan, but on Canadian prime ministers I start flaming out in the 1930s).

7/8; thought military was largest payout too. *shakes fist at social security*

I got 2 right. I'm not embarrassed.

8/8. and you call yourself americans? i suppose you non-americans don't. you could though. it's fine by me. same with the peeps who missed some questions. i really don't mind. i was kidding is why. you're still americnans. and if a bunny were to take this quiz and miss them all, i'd still call it an american bunny. that because i'm swell and i got 'em all right and when you get them all right, you call the shots.

7/8, same as everyone else on the SS vs. military question. Knee jerk liberal reaction? Are we counting military pensions and other benefits? Grumble. Grumble.
posted by Skwirl 27 September | 13:13
I only got three right. Oh well. I did get #8 right, though.
