Crafty things to do with an old, dead keyboard? It was great until I spilled cereal into it. Now, it looks like a tempting art project waiting to happen. Any ideas?
You can make jewelry with the keys, or magnets. You could have a set of the geekiest refrigerator magnets around.

A second vote for magnets!

If it's not a wireless keyboard or anything fancy, generally you can wash them in the dishwasher in the top rack, let them dry fully and they're good as new.

But keycap magnets are always awesome.

"...generally you can wash them in the dishwasher in the top rack ..."

Go very, very easy on the dishwasher detergent (or use none) and rinse aids, doing this. And turn off potscrubber cycle and "heated dry." Keys down, for drainage.
