More evidence that people are no damn good →
[More:]On my train commute this morning, a young girl got on the train with a pair of crutches and an obviously painful ankle. There were no seats available, so she proceeeded to try and prop herself up in the corner and brace herself with the crutches. Guess how many people offered her a seat? That's right, none until I got up and gave her mine (I would have done so immediately she got on, but I didn't see her at first).
At the same stop, a heavily pregnant woman got on. Guess how many people offered her a seat? That's right, none. She had to stand up all the way into the city. I felt like poking someone with a seat and telling them to get up, but I'm a coward.
There is an old lady who gets on at this same stop almost every day and it is only ever myself or another guy that give up their seat for her.
