dg, I owe you a debt of thanks!→[More:] You recently linked to PortableApps in a MetaFilter thread. I didn't know such a thing existed! I don't have my own computer at work, which meant dealing with different configurations, no bookmarks, IE-only (sometimes), etc etc, depending on where I'm working in the building.

Now I have a flash drive with my own Firefox on it, all customized and bookmarked, and it's made wasting time at work SOO much sweeter. :) THANK YOU!

No sweat - glad I could help. It also makes my wasting time at work much more enjoyable. When I first started working here, I really really tried to use IE, but just couldn't cope. I think I saw Portable Firefox linked on MeFi somewhere and never looked back. I actually have it on the small portion of the local HDD that I am allowed to access on my notebook rather than on a USB drive, but I always use the same computer, so it seemed more logical. I initially had it in my "home directory" on the network, but was worried about the IT nazis seeing the .exe file running across the network and busting me.
