Kick ass concert last night, and I got an acceptance letter this morning for an article I wrote. I even made it through my morning class, albeit in a basso profundo sort of way, on - let's see - no sleep. Oh yes, I'm wired![More:]Epica was so good last night that by the second song or so I literally had tears of joy streaking down my face. It was the kind of concert where you feel unfit to co-exist in the same universe as the performers, or just privileged to come into contact with their higher plane of existence for whatever little brief time you have.

I'm actually sort of lost for words on this one. I just don't know how to convey the emotions that start pouring out when the music hits me at a show like that. All I know is for me it's the best feeling in the world, bar nothing, and I hope you have something - whether it's music or whatever - that gives you the same kind of high. Because it just wouldn't be worth living without.
Good to hear the show was great - I would have made the trip to see Epica except I don't like Kamelot. After Forever needs to make the trip over here.

I'll be at Jaxx for Zero Hour on November 11. (Okay, I'll actually be there to see my friends Brave debut all their new songs, but I guess I'll stick around to see ZH...)

Mike: I never cared much for K. either until their most recent album, which I think is brilliant. Their set included almost all of it, too. But even the older stuff was far, far better live than the impression I got from their recordings.

Pie: Use your imagination.

Wow, what a beautiful girl!

I love when music moves a person that much. It just transcends the realm of ordinary, to some sort of higher plane. There's something about music that is unlike any other medium for moving the soul.
