I had goat stew for lunch today. Later in the evening, I had a bacon martini. My stomach is like Noah's Ark. That is all.
Are you trying to bait the resident vegan? 'Cuz, um... it's your bod... even if it used to be their bods. I've seen worse baiting. And I've seen (and smelled) worse: colon cancer and the resulting colostomy bags. Just sayin'. Do what you do, LOL.
;-)
No, no bait shane. That was just what I had yesterday. Both the goat and the bacon cocktail were quite good, as was a cocktail called 'Ass Juice,' that was served at the same place.
Was the goat stew from a Puerto Rican place and did it still have a bone in it? The goat stew I get from just down the street is all of that and more. Damn now I want some plantains.
I just watched Seven Samurai recently and it's a film that always reminds me of how precious food is. The villagers subsist on barley so they can give their samurai rice, and their entire defense plan is about protecting a barley crop. These people aren't eating meat. They have limited fruits/vegetables, probably just whatever's regional and seasonal and catch-as-catch-can.
Whenever I sit down to broccoli, pasta, tomatoes, garlic, cheese, onions, herbs, chicken, soy sauce, bread, and wine, I try to remind myself how fucking great life is and how good I have it.
Totally different point than you were making, Jon. But you reminded me.
