I have a hard time believing that this is an air-brushed picture.

If that's real, it makes my brain hurt.
I've fallen into the uncanny valley, and I can't get up!

Man, I need some fresher pop culture references.

That's incredible - If you look at the close-up, you can see some artifacts of the texturing process, but otherwise it's quite perfect.

Whoa, that's unbelievable.

Dissenter, here. I think it's a hoax. Too many pores, and the level of detail in the hair istoo perfect.

I did have my doubts, but apparently this guy is a photorealistic artist with a lot of work under his belt, so I'll buy it. It does look almost too perfect, but maybe he's just that good.

Also, those guys posing in the picture look like skeevy porn stars.

This is obviously fake. How do I know? Just glance at the image labeled "3.5 hours."

(Austin Powers voice) "That's a man, baby!"

I smell a hoax. To get that level of detail the original would need to be much larger. The picture where they're standing around the image looks suspicious too. Notice there's no texture on the image surface, like it was pasted in.

No way. Totally fake.

Fake. The detail is much too perfect-there's only so much you can do with paint, and minute hair strands (ie: neck area, hair part) are just too hard to do as well as this. Plus, why are the "diamond" earrings just a touch out of focus? If this were indeed a painting, with such painstaking detail, why skimp on the diamonds? The close up just looks like a woman with lots of foundation makeup, not a painting.

Definitely a hoax.

Wow, I'm glad I re-looked at this thread. I had gone away thinking it was real based on the first several comments. (muddgirl!)
