The idea is a simple one: each Friday, post photos on a given theme. It's tons of fun, but the pay's for crap.

1 September '06 FURRY FRIDAY! ...once again and always popular, suggested by cmonkey. Post pics of your animal companions or other people's animal companions or... hell, you know... animals. Not even necessarilly furry ones. Bugs are fine, jon. Post pics of those "other furries" if you want, too.
8 September '06 "What's Wrong With This Picture," suggested by WolfDaddy, no PhotoShopping allowed: "...pictures that at first glance look 'ordinary' but something's subtly--or not--wrong..."
15 September '06 "Alice In Wonderland," suggested by lonefrontranger: "...this could be interpreted so many ways... i.e. white rabbits, top hats, weretable's Most Excellent Caterpillars [photos], macros of chess pieces, and general trippy weirdness... these are all good things, right?"
22 September "Pictures that Evoke an Extreme Emotional Reaction," suggested by Zack_Replica: "Everything from wonder and fascination to awe and horror. There doesn't have to be a specific reason behind the emotion (as it's all subjective anyway), just the picture triggering something in your grey matter that goes 'Yow!' "
29 September [tentatively] "Found Art," suggested by shane: "I like that. Stuff you just, um, found. Tripped over. Whatever. And it's, like, 'art.' "

These really WERE:

Emulate a MetaChatter. Make yourself up/dress yourself up/pose in what is quintessentially in a way that flatters or lightheartedly pokes fun at another member. For example, I might put on a rock t-shirt, a flannel, grab a beer bottle, and presto! I'm jonmc. (I could blur the photo for extra realism).
Something secret. Still have all your Babysitter's club books? Have a large Barry Manilow collection you're not entirely proud of?
Something that makes you smile (too close to this week? Can be very abstract, from a sunrise, to a person)
Something that makes you proud (a trophy, something you saved really hard to buy, a smile on your S.O.'s face)
Goofy clothes (take a pic of yourself in a goofy outfit, something you never wear anymore, a funny wig or hat)
Sanctuary (a favorite place, a park, a cafe, wherever you go to relax/feel safe)
Exquisite corpse - everyone takes a picture of their upper torso, middle torso and lower torso/legs. Then Photoshop mix and match fun.
Self portraits with as liberal an interpretation as you like or don't like.
Handwriting. Somebody suggested it in a thread sometime, I forget who.
Favorite thing(s) you wear (clothing, shoes, jewelry)
