Unexpected finds. Speaking of erotology, today at a yard sale I found a box of soft-core 35mm slide porn. The couple that I examined were artistically posed topless shots, nicely done. But I just had to laugh at the idea of slide porn. So archaic. So what odd things have you found lately?
Sorry, no pics. I didn't buy them. I might have spent a few bucks for amusement value or to scan them and put them up in a web site if they turned out to be any good. But the asking price ($85) was way too high for me. They might have just been some photographer's practice shots, who knows. But the slides didn't look particularly well cared for. It just said "porn collection" to me. As in, "Let's get out the slide projector and look at some porn".
After posting, I realized this might be in poor taste for mecha. If so, sorry about that.
It does make you wonder a lot. Before the age of mass-market digital cameras, few people ever took even regular camera shots because naked photos would often be confiscated at the developer's. That lessened a bit when automatic developing was invented, but still, people took dirty pictures with Polaroids. Slides - now, for slides, you need even more specialized photo developing! It kinda makes me wonder if they were a magazine photographer's, or someone like that who had in-house developing. Otherwise it would be hard and embarrassing even to get them developed.
I probably could have got it for half that or less. A lot of the stuff there was sort of in the junk antiquities class and way overpriced. I saw someone get half off something with minimal haggling. But even so, I probably wouldn't have gotten into the range of what I'd have wanted to spend. There were probably 75-100 slides there.
until I remembered this.
Yeah, but that's ethylene. I don't have her clout.

I didn't know it until today, but haggling over old homemade porn is an item for my list of things I hope never to do. I
For the new generation of young adults who take pictures of themselves having sex or simply nude - it is your obligation to do so, but don't be so foolish as to let your faces be in the photos as the internet is forever.

There were always underground recommendations for someone who could develop them for you, at a price. That being, they implicitly would keep copies.
Boy, am I from another era.
I had a friend who worked at Photomat (the little kiosks) and she showed me, from time to time, home made porn that people had processed. (I used to hang out outside the kiosk visiting) Photomat never did anything about it other than collect the money and give people the prints.
