No probs :) Most of this is from 2005 - I had a couple smart playlists set up on iTunes. I've got a 2006 one with loads of stuff in it, and I've just kicked off a 2007 one.
I'm planning a set with just UK acts on it for sometime soon.
I think I've still got some mp3s from We Are Scientists early phase, which was less dance pop and more nerd rock (they used to be Pomona locals, before they became popular in Manhattan). It's hard for me to believe how "big" they're getting.
I guess I'll take a chance on it if I can pick it up cheap. I like them, but I'm not sure if I like them enough to chance a whole album of B sides and rarities.
Interesting, muddgirl - I might have to check that out. They are getting pretty big in the UK - they've sold out the Brixton Academy, and similar sized venues a few times.
Oh yes, I think they hit it big in the UK before they started name recognition over here. At least, one of the first celebrities to name drop them in Rolling Stone was Daniel Radcliff (Harry Potter). They used to offer their first two EPs for free on their website, but they removed them (for obvious reasons, I suppose).
I'm not stalking them, honest. I just follow celebrity gossip to a fault.
There's nothing wrong with celebrity gossip, although since I've moved into a more male-dominated team at work, I've found myself following it less - it's much more derided where I am now and, as there aren't copies of the weekly celeb-based mags lying about all over the place, it's harder to keep up with who has cellulite, is shagging who, is looking rough, is wearing unfashionable clothes, is leaving someone's house very early on Sunday morning, etc.
