Radio TDF Is this thing on? A short 5 song set to see what this radio thing's all about
And one more for good luck. Not sure who this guy is, but my brother sent it to me and it's rather fine. So, in conclusion:

What Jail Is Like: The Afghan Whigs
A Rook House For Bobby: iLikeTrains
Herculean: The Good, The Bad and The The Queen
Powder Blue: Elbow
Waiting Around To Die: The Be Good Tanyas
The River VII: Ketil Bjornstad

That was cool, I may well do that again

oopsie, missed it!

No worries. Anyone know if there's a way to see who is listening?

Don, I'm on right now, can you play it for me?
(I'm not sure if my player's working though, so you'll have to bear with me.)

Well, I could do another set. Give me a couple of minutes to put something together...
posted by TheDonF 28 January | 07:50
Okay, there you go. This is about 15 or so tracks long

Yayyyyy! It's playing!

Currently listening to "It's a Hit".
(Slight bug: when the track changed, the title of the new song didn't appear.)

heh. sort of missed you AGAIN. But I have my ears on now.

There's no way to see who's listening, just how many, from the radio page.

I think that bug is in the pop-up player as I've had that as well. On the pop-up player there's icons to open the stream up in something else (for example iTunes), which is what I use.

Set so far:

Low - Monkey
Leaves - Shakma
Oasis - Mucky Fingers
The Features - Blow It Out
Death From Above 1979 - Black History Month
Juliana Hatfield - Going Blonde
We Are Scientists - It's A Hit
Editors - Bullets
Rogue Wave - Publish My Love
Elbow - Great Expectations

Thanks again DonF!
I had to step away from the computer for awhile, and the music is still playing... are you running another set?

Still the same one :)

The National - All The Wine
Tom McRae - My Vampire Heart
Martin Gretch - Guiltless
Fiction Plane - Patience
Coldplay - Fix You (look, I like that track, okay. Bite me!)
Engineers - Forgiveness

A couple more left after this one

Youth Group - The Frankston Line
Greg Dulli - Get The Wheel

That's it :)

Bummer! TheDonF, do it again please sometime? Sounds like a very nice set. Cheers.

*checks rules* Yep, I can repeat a set. Bearing in mind the time differences between the UK+USA, when's a good time - I'll see if (other sets allowing), I can get something sorted.
posted by TheDonF 28 January | 09:58
TheDonF, I'm totally sorry I missed that. Please do rebroadcast (at a Europe-friendly time :)).
posted by goodnewsfortheinsane 28 January | 11:09
Blimey, that's 2 requests for a re-broadcast. Well, okay then :) How about tomorrow (Monday) at 8pm UK time? There's a "radio dibs" page on the wiki which looks fairly unused, but I'll fill that out for a re-broadcast of that set.

8pm sounds great! I'll try to tune in.
