Mecha Trivia! Beginning at 7pm EST, midnight GMT. This is the official game thread. Four rounds, just like a sweatlodge. Just with trivia instead, and less steamy...→[More:]Here is what all players need to know (other than to wash behind your ears):

This is entirely for fun, but please do not use the internet or other sources other than your collective brains to come up with your answers, unless the Quizmaster tells you to do so (a “treasure hunt” question). After each round, I’ll post the scores and shout-out question awards in the game thread. Send only answers to the Quizmaster via private IRC messages, and only at the *END* of the round – not after each question. Posting your answers in the chatroom (unless it’s a shout-out) or in the game thread will result in you having to wear a pancake on your head for the rest of the game. In the event of a tie after Round 4, tie-breaker questions will be given until a clear winner is produced (pop!). Refresh the game thread after each round for complete scores, answers, and awards. Have fun, good luck, and remember grab your bevvies and snacks! We begin in one minute.

The only thing I ask of the winner, is that they make an FPP on mecha about the charity they chose, and why they chose it. Hopefully we can raise a little awareness in addition to the cash.

Ma~, I don't think trivia will take that long.

I thought this trivia would just be like stuff you know. You've obviously done research, which means we should be able to do so as well, or we should have teams of 2-4. Just my nickel.

And I request that my half of the very generous Mosch prize go to the Humane Society. From their mission statement:

We work to reduce suffering and to create meaningful social change for animals by advocating for public policies to protect animals, investigating cruelty and working to enforce existing laws, educating the public about the issues, and conducting hands-on programs, such assisting animals when disasters strike. Our major campaigns target four primary issues: 1) factory farming, 2) animal fighting and other forms of animal cruelty, 3) the fur trade, and 4) inhumane sport hunting practices.

There are a lot of animal charities that I love, but I like that these folks address factory farming. (Which is evil.)
