Tuesday 3-point status update:
Hi everyone, how are you doing?

1. I am chasing money owed to me from four years ago. I should not have four-year-old debts. Trying to get over the second point so I can get my £800 already.

2. Toddler has taken to eating loads during the day then vomiting overnight. He is otherwise fine. Hoping it is a passing phase, and a short one.

3. Life otherwise not bad at all. Youngster is now nearly 2 and thriving; I had feared I'd have to put my life on hold for him for a number of years but it really hasn't turned out that way.

1. Need to mow the yard today. Ugh.
2. My therapist wants to see me twice a week now. Uh oh.
3. A friend emailed me this morning, offering a ticket to the Indy 500 this weekend. Trying hard to justify the cost. It's really hard to, though. Wife says "Go." Arrrgh.

1. Getting geared for my next half marathon, in just three weeks. Feeling nervous, determined, and a lot slower than I'd like.

2. Slowly gearing up as well for my big trip to Poland and Israel this summer on a Holocaust tour. My reading has turned very grim. Currently I know more than I want to about Ravensbruck concentration camp.

3. Really enjoying my bike riding these days. So nice to be out riding on the commute when it is light outside and not chilly.

1. Going to the Boston Handbell Festival tonight, woo-hoo!

2. Going to Vegas in July, woo-hoo!

3. Got my freelance check today, woo-hoo! (To pay bills with, oh well.)

Life is pretty good right now. That'll change, of course, but I'm enjoying it.

1. Eurovision starts today!! EXCITED.

2. My clothes are telling me I've put on a little weight. Either that or my body is settling into dumpy old age. I can do something about the former but not the latter.

3. Taking Friday off and going to a baseball game, and Monday is a holiday, but may have to work at some point over the weekend, so so much for 4 days off.

1. Our 15 yo niece is coming to live with us in a week (for the next 3+ years). I might be freaking out a little. I'm sure all will be fine, but what if I screw something up?

2. The above was our push to finally get a new mattress - our old one is 15 years old, and it's time. We opted for a king size after years of deliberation, in the hopes that the dogs will be able to sleep on it with us. (two pugs) The mattress was delivered this morning, so I will see it tonight. (yay!)

3. I actually planted some plants in planters (and purchased a couple others) - so far, they are all still alive! This is pretty amazing. I might be a gardener soon after all!

Hi bunnies!
1. Our beloved pet is on her way out quickly or slowly, depending upon how you look at it. I vacillate between hiccuping tears and grim acceptance. Today she's having a good day, so I am happy enough.

2. We are in Pittsburgh visiting family. Tonight I am going to a peewee baseball game on the field where my husband used to play peewee baseball. The nostalgia is thick around these parts.

3. I plan on eating a metric shit ton of food while here. Gyros, donuts, soup dumplings, pasta, curry, pierogies, etc.

1. My daughter took her first steps today, less than a week after her first birthday!

2. I had an awesome day in court. Settled a record number of cases for very reasonable amounts.

3. I really need to lose the baby weight. The baby is one. I am really struggling with it though.

amro, consider coming to join our teeny MeFi team on Whole Life Challenge . . . it helps me stay on track. Less expensive and also very effective is the Lose It! app.

1. We went to Myrtle Beach last week for a vacation with my mom. A wonderful time was had by all.

2. Kidlet has been asking to go to the water & to swim since we got back. So I need to call the swimming place for a tour.

3. New role at work. Not happy about it especially as I'll be splitting my time for the foreseeable future. The split was partly my request but a pain in the butt none the less since it doubles the agile meetings I have to attend.

*hugs msali* I know how much you love Rayna.

1.My back is still hurting from the accident(see posted ? on askme).I wasn't able to see an acupuncturist in MSP and the woman I saw in LA didn't respond to my emails(I was there for my cousin's wedding). The woman I see in NY is out of town until the end of the month. I had made an appointment to see my gp before I left for msp, but that isn't until next week and I won't be able to get referrals to a pt until I've checked in with the gp.

2.I managed to snag a reservation at Per Se on my birthday. They won't seat singles in the main dining room, so I've asked my cousin to join me.

3.The tgt shareholders meeting is in SF next month and the chupahija is coming. She was being a complete fake at the wedding, but I managed to avoid her for most of it. This is the first meeting with the new CEO. I haven't decided yet if I'll tell him how I feel about black Friday. It's on the record from a past meeting with the former ceo. My favorite cousins live in SF and I'll try to see them.

Wednesday here:

1. Waiting for the painters to show up to strip the peeling lead paint from the outside of the house so that we're no longer such a candidate for superfund status.

2. Found out that a mysterious bug in our automated test suite for the web app that I work on was caused by a bug in the utility that runs the tests. I could be mad at Google for that but they give the suite away for free so there's not much I can say.

3. Our house is on a garden and patio house tour next month so we're madly cleaning and prepping for that (see #2).

Wednesday here too, but:
1. In serious, if short-term, financial straits. Child support got re-assessed, then backdated and having to pay resulting arrears at a rate that leaves me with literally no money for luxuries such as food :-(

2. Re-structure at work imminent that will make huge changes to my job and to the team I work with. Potential good things to come from it, but cautiously optimistic at best. Just want it to be over and done at this stage.

3. Meh to everything.

Wednesday, late catch-up.

1. I'm at Gaspode's, got here on Monday night.

2. Today I'm visiting City Island, where I'll be having my first ever lobster roll - provided I don't have to see the actual lobster first. Hypocrisy, but I don't want to meet my lunch before I eat him.

3. Birthday celebration on Friday with friends. Another tour around the sun completed.

I am so hoping that I get a day off next week. I'm burnt out at both jobs but still putting in 95%.

Kitty is enjoying her supervised jaunts outside - she hasn't any signs of being a lizard killer so we'll be in the clear when the lizard people rise.

Weather here has been nice so I'm spending as much time as possible doing yardwork. I really enjoy this time of year.
