I want to make some really good stuffed artichokes! [More:]

I've made them about 6 or 7 times and they never have the omg factor that my grandmom's had, or my mother-in-law's. MIL is still alive and kicking but can't really remember how to make them, it's been a while.

How do you make yours? Any tried and true tips or family secrets? I'm talking the Italian, bread crumbs and olive oil steamed in a pot kind. We're making roasted eggplant marinara for dinner, with caramelized onion focaccia on the side, and I'd luuuvvv to wow my husband with some of these artichokes.

On another note: stoli dolis are awesome. We've made two batches and they're the most heavenly drink. So delish........
I add good Italian sausage, fennel seeds and red pepper flakes.

What are stoli dolis?
