Wait a minute! "Women who ate an ounce of full-fat cheese daily gained fewer pounds over time than their less-cheesy peers".
Yeah, cheese has long been a staple of all the no-carb diets. They usually tell you to do low-fat cheese, but that's just because they want to keep your total calorie count down. Love cheese. Especially with macaroni (so much for the low-carb).
YAY! I guess really this is about moderation and being sensible - but a slice of full fat cheese leaves you satisfied and you are less likely to pig out on other stuff.
I bought low fat "cheddar" cheese once. Dreadful stuff. It tasted like the vinyl upholstery on our Oldsmobile. I hate, hate, HATE wasting food, but this pressed plastic was inedible even after mixing with a white sauce, so I simply dumped the rest of it.
Eat real cheese, just less of it, if your pants are tight.
