Huh. Well, it makes sense in that many animals need to remember details about their surroundings to avoid predators, locate food supplies, etc. and therefore have eidetic memory, whereas humans have become couch potatoes. (If you move ANYthing in the living room at my uncle's house, his wolf-mix dog will stare at it worriedly for about three minutes from the doorway before venturing into the room. Change in environment = possible threat.)

What amazes me almost as much is that they taught the chimps the sequence of numbers 1-9.
