Chanterelles! Not to brag, but I just dug some out of the dirt this afternoon and had 'em for dinner tonight. Turns out life is not dismal and hopeless after all.
OK, I am actually bragging.

Yum! That's a great reason to brag.

Any chanterelles found are probably poisonous. They should immediately be brought to me for proper disposal.

I've always wanted to learn to find morels and chanterelles. The best we seem to do in New England is hen-of-the-woods (which are great) and...shelf fungus. Though I'm admittedly a beginner mycologist.

There's a mushroom out by my garage that mycologists have nicknamed "dog turd fungus." I have not yet tried to cook it for dinner.

I'd have sworn the Chanterelles recorded for Motown.
