What National Parks Have You Been To? . .Apologies for the USian slant, but[More:] my wife and I were watching the Ken Burns show last night, and we were comparing notes on what national parks we have been to.

I have been to:
Olympic
Crater Lake
Redwood
Joshua Tree (it was a monument then)
Yosemite
Channel Islands
Grand Canyon

My wife, to her pleasure, one-upped me by quite a few.

What ones have any of you guys been to?
Oh and Hawaii Volcanoes. . .

I've only ever been to the Nicolet National Forest (:C) unless if the area around the Liberty Bell/Independence Hall is a national park.

I suspect that I have been to some and didn't realise I was at a National Park.

I know I've been to
Harper's Ferry (because I got engaged there)
Joshua Tree
Antietam

um...

Only the Grand Canyon.

Lift of all of them on Wikipedia

This time last year, we went to the Olympic National Forest and stayed at the lodge near the Quinalt Rainforest. Fabulous.

I've been to the Grand Canyon and Joshua Tree, and Harper's Ferry, and dozens of battlegrounds, which are national parks.

Yellowstone. (Part of the former epic student exchange from my middle school that was sadly cancelled. I wrote several letters to local newspapers, administrators, and the school board about it. But oh no, it didn't have 'educational value'. Bunch of fuckfaces.)

Rocky Mountain (at least twice)
Yellowstone
Mammoth Cave
Great Smoky Mountains
Theodore Roosevelt

Short list considering I've been in every state but AK, HI, SD, NM, TX, and OK. But I've been to numerous National Monuments, National Historic Park, and National Register locations:

Dinosaur National Monument
Little Bighorn Battle NM
Muir Woods NM
Statue of Liberty NM

National Historic Parks:
Yorktown Battlefield (I think) in Colonial NHP
Cumberland Gap NHP
Independence NHP
Natchez NHP
San Francisco Maritime NHP (it was still the SF Maritime Museum then)
Saratoga NHP

National Historic Sites (that I'm sure of):
Ford's Theatre
Fort Point
Hopewell Furnace
Jimmy Carter (farm, before designation)
Lincoln Home
Martin Luther King, Jr. (before designation)

National Military Parks:
Chickamauga and Chattanooga
Shiloh
Vicksburg

I could go on. My dad being a professional historian we often included museums and such on trips so he could make them tax-deductible (before 1986 it was easier).

Golden Gate
Point Reyes
Jefferson National Expansion Memorial
Statue of Liberty

Padre Island
San Antonio Missions

And there are probably a few I don't remember.

Watching the online broadcast now. Psst: this park thing is totally Socialist.

Only Yosemite and Denali. I think. It's possible I've been to the Everglades National Park; I've been "to the Everglades," but I'm not sure if that automatically means I was in the park.

When I was growing up my parents were pretty big on driving tours of national parks, so:

Everglades
Biscayne
Yosemite
Yellowstone
Grand Teton
Grand Canyon
Great Smoky Mountains
Denali
Wrangell-St. Elias
Kenai Fjords
Mount Rainier
Glacier (FUCKING GORGEOUS AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO HERE NOW)

Also Banff, Jasper, and Waterton Lakes in Canada. And we may have driven through Sequoia or Redwoods, but I can't remember exactly.

Just this Saturday, Mt. Baker National Forest, up to the ice caves with the boy.

Aside from the smattering of state parks, that's about it.

Theodore Roosevelt inaugural site (well, it's around the block from me, and next door to my bank, so I kind of have to... haven't been inside since it was remodeled, though)
Women's Rights historic park
Statue of Liberty
JFK historic site
Boston national historic park
most of the DC stuff (which is like a half dozen "parks" in several square blocks...)

Lot of state parks in my area, though.

I lied; I have never been to the Everglades. We were in Okeefenokee, not the Everglades.
