The perks of being only 4ft 11 are few but ... →[More:]... coming home this afternoon on the DLR, I got into the carriage and sat down amongst a group of teenage girls, about 14 or 15 years old, who were on their way home from a school trip (probably to Greenwich). Their uniform was dark blue, and I was wearing a dark blue zipped jacket.
I was minding my own business, looking out of the window, when the young male teacher, probably late 20s and somewhat like a
much better-looking Wayne Rooney came through the carriage asking "Are any of you girls being picked up from school?" They answered "yes" or "no" and then he came to me and said "what about you?" and I looked up and grinned and said "that's the best offer I've had all day, but I'll have to say no".
He blushed and said "Oh, I'm
so sorry, I thought you were one of my girls". I said "That's an even better offer!".
Needless to say, his students couldn't stop giggling and I bet it's not the last he's heard of it.
