Nah. I'd save the taxpayer some money, and show up wearing only my gun belt.

Yeah, when I think excellence in police I think LAPD.

Devils advocate: Would YOU want to be a police in LA???

Keyboard lawyer view: About every civil service station has some sort of a dress and appearance requirement. So; does the person at the city parking garage booth now qualify for this extra pay? Post office employees? Court appointed lawyer?

Good luck LAPD and I don't think this is going to help public perception of the LAPD...
