Languishing links - Songs you uploaded for whatever reason but did not link on Mecha. [More:]
Murray the Cop - Jump Baby (via BP)
Vanity Fair - Hitchin' A Ride
Meri Wilson - Telephone Man
Sparrow Quartet - Banjo-Pickin' Girl. I uploaded it for my sick-day music post and then decided to link a different song.

OMG, Ardiril, I haven't heard "Telephone Man" since I was in junior high, I think. :D Too funny! I think the woman who sangs that was from Atlanta- specifically, Marietta, if I remember right.

Where the HELL did you find it?

I like that version of "Ring My Bell," too, box.

BP: Super Hits of the '70s: Have a Nice Day, Vol. 21 has it. Some time back, someone had uploaded that entire series of CDs. They are about 75% crap, but the remaining songs are jewels.

Are you a Dr. Demento fan, Ardiril? Did you ever hear "Telephone Man"'s sequel? I think it's called "The Meter Reader" or something like that. Great stuff.

"Peter the Meter Reader" but I never heard it. Unfortunately, Dr. Demento didn't make it to my neck of the woods, but I did get to hear one show sometime somewhere. I would have been a fan though.

Craig Wedren - "Night is Over"
This guy fronted Shudder to Think back in the 90s. He's also done some great soundtrack work in movies like Velvet Goldmine, First Love, Last Rights, and Wet Hot American Summer. Dude's voice is smooooth.

A couple of instrumental tracks from Eritrea. I don't know the name of the band, or the titles of the tracks.
