"we've still got a lot of homes on the market and not a lot of qualified buyers"

That's been the problem the whole time.

Is that anything like the Stray Cat Strut?

My boyfriend needs to refinance his mortgage to finalize his divorce... his ex gave up all claim to the property (in exchange for him taking on all their shared credit card debt), but is still named on the loan.

He's never once been late on the payment in the six years he's owned the house, has had the same job forever, is basically exactly what any bank would want- someone who has a consistent history of on time payments in the very property they want a new loan on for that amount or less (since the interest rates are lower now than when he bought initially). But, no dice. No one will refinance. Most say they aren't doing refi on anyone, or anyone in his neighborhood/town/city specifically at the moment.

(er, what that ramble means to say is, there ARE qualified buyers out there, or qualified people seeking loans... the banks just won't pony up the dough.)

I thought this was going to be a YouTube link.

Glad I was wrong about that.

Yay Cleburne! I know where that is...

It's a podunk town about 40 minutes from here.

My family used to go camping at Cleburne State Park. It was always fun. I wonder if they've maintained it?

When I was in HS, I had to drive to Cleburne to pick up a pair of glasses. (Don't remember why I had to go there, why they couldn't ship them to my optometrist. It was a 45-minute drive through the sticks.)

Anyway, on the square down by the courthouse, they still had parking meters that took pennies. It was $.01 for 15 minutes!
