WHAT A CRAPTACULAR FRIDAY THIS IS TURNING OUT TO BE Please DO NOT CLICK if you are having a good day
→[More:] Woke up this morning, fire up email and see a rejection from a postdoc position that I really wanted. Then drop my by sisters place to pick up a package which quickly turns into an hour long fight about some long standing issues (but this wasn't the day for it). Then I figure a nice cup of coffee will lift my spirits. Took the first sip as I fired up the laptop. Bam Rejection from second postdoc position.

Bars don't open for another 5 hours. I just want to curl up in a ball and die.

Awwwww -k I'm so sorry about your bad day. I thought you were going to say you spilled the hot coffee on your laptop. If bad things come in threes, then maybe you're done now. I hope so anyway. I recommend a little Bailey's in that coffee.

You're wrong about the bars, though. There's always a bar open somewhere. Not that I'm advocating drowning your sorrows or anything. But, you know, if you wanted to drown your sorrows, you could.

Crappy, crappy day. Nonstop heavy rain from this morning until about Sunday. Reinjured back yesterday, crappy mattress not helping. Cute guy upstairs flirts with me but clearly doesn't want anything more, which is driving me crazy. Freezing office. Brakes on truck need fixing which will cost a lot. Only my mom loves me. Alcohol doesn't do any good. The list goes on.

You're right pups. But for me drowning sorrows requires a familiar watering hole. I feel less shitty now that earlier, which is good. I've decided to make a wall of shame at work and plaster all of my rejection emails.

UGH. Shitty day begone!!

I was having an alright day until I tried to use my Interac card to pay for allergy meds and found out my account was frozen. One very long phone call later and I find out someone musta duped my card. They fake-deposited then withdrew $500 from my account -- which, when it was discovered by the bank, got my account frozen.

I must now wait up to four business days (in other words, end of day Thursday) to find out if the bank will recover the funds (which I didn't have, thus now I'm overdrawn $300) and un-freeze my account.

People who steal suck. People who steal from unemployed people who have less than $200 in their account especially suck. Rip off some rich fucker, why don't you.
