In his defense, even though there really is none, cold-reading the words "STING TO PLAY US OUT" can be a bit of a mind-fuck.

Colbert played this bit, in it's entirety, on Colbert Report last night. I always got the impression that O'Reilly and Colbert got along rather well, and that O'Reilly tought Colbert's satire was flattering or all in good fun, but I wonder what he thinks now...

bill o'reilly flips out for a living. if he wasn't flipping out nobody would pay a lick of attention to the old sod.

Here's the clip from the Colbert Report. (Watch for "archival footage" of Colbert's own "early career" flip out at about the 3:20 mark.)

Olbermann also played that clip (no surprise) with the closing comment that he KNEW there was video of himself doing much the same thing floating around somewhere - most likely when he worked at Fox Sports - and he was EAGER to see it again. Good attitude.

So, I guess Sting wasn't only playing himself out, eh?!

...

Anyway, this isn't surprising at all. O'Reilly is a professional asshole. And an unprofessional asshole, too, it seems.
