Radio Mecha - Music Box I'm making it up as I go. Please listen, if you're so inclined. Please make requests/suggestions/whatnot, if ditto.
I'm glistening, I mean listening, and making mental requests and nobody can stop me. (Of course, it's more likely to reprogram my neighbor's iPod than influence mr. box, but what the hey)
If I understand correctly, we can take requests like 'less Indian music' or 'songs about kittycats' or whatnot. It's only the specific requests that we can't take.
So far:
Biddu (w/Manhar & Anand) - Hum Tumhe Chate Hain (edit)
The Dave Pike Set - Mathar
Mulatu Astatke and his Ethiopian Quintet - Alone in the Crowd
Thelonious Monk - Suburban Eyes
The Caprells & Sul Brothers Band - Close Your Eyes
The Supremes - Can't Take My Eyes Off You (Mary Wilson version)
The Dix - Tears In My Eyes (Dirty Girl)
Gregory Isaacs - Public Eyes (dub)
Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids - Four-Eyes

Sweet Charles was a James Brown associate. There are a lot of covers of 'Soul Man' out there.
Sweet Charles - Soul Man
The Spotnicks - Soulful Strut
Ebony Rhythm Band - Soul Heart Transplant
Roland Kirk - Soul Bossa Nova
The Blackbyrds - Soulful Source
Good to know, I'll have to look for some of his stuff. When I still lived in Madison, I'd go to see Clyde Stubblefield every chance I got (another James Brown associate, his drummer for a long time).
Booker T & The MG's - Soul Dressing
The Bar-Kays - Soul Finger
Honey Drippers - Impeach the President
Shirley Ellis - The Clapping Song
Schoolchildren of Wanseko, Uganda - Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Wolfgang Dauner Quintet - Take Off Your Clothes To Feel The Setting Sun
The Platters - Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight
As you may have guessed, this is the last song. Thank you very much for listening, and goodnight.
