I'm glistening, I mean listening, and making mental requests and nobody can stop me. (Of course, it's more likely to reprogram my neighbor's iPod than influence mr. box, but what the hey)

If I understand correctly, we can take requests like 'less Indian music' or 'songs about kittycats' or whatnot. It's only the specific requests that we can't take.

Sweet Charles was a James Brown associate. There are a lot of covers of 'Soul Man' out there.

Good to know, I'll have to look for some of his stuff. When I still lived in Madison, I'd go to see Clyde Stubblefield every chance I got (another James Brown associate, his drummer for a long time).

If memory serves, he just did one album, with no CD reissue. But he's popped up on some mp3 blogs, which is where I heard of him.
