baby steps to four o'clock... baby steps to four o'clock... (in which I delurk, and say hello to you fine folks...)→[More:]

I've been on AskMe for awhile, but I've lurked pretty much everywhere else, including here. But lately, I've been feeling this strange and sudden urge to participate -- go to meetups (pending), join runner's challenges (check), and most importantly, hang out at MeCha (check). Because y'all seem cool, and I need more cool people in my life.

(Be advised... if this urge continues, one day I might do something *really* crazy, like post something to the Blue. If that ever happens, hilarity will most definitely ensue, but not because I'm funny. Baby steps...)

I think we don't actually have that many Amys, do we? We have at least 4 Amandas and countless Dans, but no Amys that I can think of.

I might be the only Amy around here (if so, I will proudly represent), but there's a blue million of us on most other sites. Hence somanyamys, in a fit of desperation on one of those other sites... it was either going to be that or something wretched like amy75489356.

What I really should have done, though, is a mashup with my handle from my misguided AOL youth... then I'd be somanyaardvarks.
