oh, cool. Nobody ever plays at this time of day, and I haven't been able to listen during my mornings (US evening/night) lately.

I'm sick and sad too!

I'm not sick, but I feel run through a wringer today. Contentious issue at work re: faculty vs. Admissions/Recruiting/Enrollment governance of a freshman-year experience class. I got called on the carpet by an Admissions person for being my usual tactless self (because I said they were on the sales side of the equation and the students were going to be sensitive to being "sold to" after a while). I felt really bad about it because I hate offending people (but after talking to some others, it comes out that the "offended parties" were overstating their offendedness for a purpose). But I still feel bad -- I tend to think while talking and I can't edit like I do online.

So, run through a wringer -- there's a reason I'm a professor-type and not an administration type. I'd piss everyone off if I were an administration type.
