Wow, I'm bushed. →[More:] Did the Church Under the Bridge thang today. It involved setting my alarm for 4 am to put the spaghetti in the oven to warm it up, then getting up every hour to rotate the four pans of spaghetti around to get even heating before finally getting up at about 6, showering, going up to the church, meeting up, loading up, driving the hour and a half down to Waco, serving the meal before the service, sitting in a shady area with a stiff breeze that makes it feel about 15 degrees colder than it is.
That said, the sermon was done by two seminary students (I think from Baylor) who happen to be black. It was their first attempt at a sermon, and they switched back and forth, doing different sections. They did it in the style of the churches they grew up in (think of a cross between Dr. King and a rap artist) and the overall effect was very, very uplifting.
Then drove back home, trying not to think about sleep, realized my brakes were squealing so I bought new pads for them, put them on, made me and the missus a can of soup for dinner, and now... NOW I'm bushed.
