Since I grew up almost literally on the beach, it was my wish, as a teen, to have a "creature from the black lagoon" outfit, and, on a busy summer day, lurk out past the break line, and then come in and grab some unsuspecting kid and drag them back out into the sea with me.
lol, danf. I think you're right, since my husband (Vangurko, DEMON electronics raider) sometimes has terrible fears that his every embarrassing or "cute" action is being broadcast to millions across the internet.
However, I Farta, have astonishing self-control, and rarely post his amusing and or endearing adventures and exploits. Like his very touching Valentine's gift to me, for example, or old photos of him in Speedos (but, seriously, hottchacha!). *zips lips*
I bet he didn't mean it that way, ico, but yeah, it does. (I suspect he was thinking of woodgrain, or the "knots" in woodgrain, it being a tree-monster and all.)
Ryan lives here in Vancouver. Totally nice guy. I've got "Cat Girls from Mars" and "Mercury" as signed prints (see that section of his website), and one of his originals called "Sub Human" done very much in this style (painted on a old grade one lesson book). The picture of it isn't that great due to my camera phone. If you're a fan and can get one of his prints, I'd recommend it, as the web pictures don't do them justice as the prints are 16x20".
SO jealous. Zack_Replica, he isn't doing prints right now, much to my chagrin. Just last week he was selling his latest one (and it was only 20.00...gah) but I waited too long, the link is gone and there's a message that sales of prints are temporarily discontinued. *sob* I'm jealous. I need to have a print. And I'm doubly jealous that you have an original.
Here's a random sampling of pictures from email that Ryan's sent out about shows and the like over the past 2 years (.zip file). These were all attachments to his email, so they're not stolen from anywhere. Get on his mailing list for news about shows, and cool attachments like these!
Wow, thank you, ZR! I could actually print a couple of those out and frame them. A little something to tide me over until I can get my hands on a print. And I just signed up for the mailing list ;)
