WXRT broadcasting tonight's Wilco show live - If there are any fans out there, this should be very cool.

The band has been playing a series of "residency" shows (this is the 4th of 5) which, in its entirety, has been promised to cover every song in the Wilco catalog.
While I've gone from extreme fan to perfectly ambivalent over the past decade, these shows have rekindled some interest. Hearing the old, never-realized stuff interpreted in the more contemporary Wilco soundscape has always been a pleasure - tightly crafted songs deconstructed and reformed while holding their core essence blah blah blah. I'm curious to hear what happens when oft-hokey tracks from AM are burned to cinders and what Glenn Kotche's percussion can summon from the murky beauty of Being There (please, let there be "Dreamer in my Dreams") or the Mermaid Ave collections could be a wonder to behold. I haven't been to a show since they bore a ghost, so this could even revive EP classics and the dark-edged locust-hums of Summerteeth.
Anyway... XRT streams. The show starts at 7:30pm central. So, don't let geography or the sell-out keep you from hearing what this go-around has in store.
(I'd gladly geek it up with any Wilco fans there might be round these parts, as well.)
