I have no Thursday or Friday classes, so my plans for today and tomorrow include:

- ordering the much-cheaper-online textbooks for my history class ($80 used at the uni bookstore; $12 online, including shipping).
- making bread. Mmmm, fresh bread.
- reading As You Like It, at least through the first two acts.
- tidying up the apartment.
- spinach salad. Mmmm, leafy.
- watching season 4 "West Wing" episodes.
- maybe a trek to the library.

Making phonecalls, analysing data, tidying the apartment. Not wearing pants.

My friends are coming up from the South (Connecticut) and we're going out on the town. Then tomorrow they're coming to my museum to show how to salt and preserve a codfish, 1880 style. Good times!

Today I start packing for what I'm doing this weekend. It's our 6th anniversary! Lake Tahoe Ski Trip! Hot Tub! Canoodling!

Let's see, I went to work this morning. Left at 1253. Didn't get home until after 2. WTF traffic? Just because there's snow on the road, doesn't mean you have to STOP FOR NO FUCKING REASON.

Seriously, if you don't know how to drive in the snow, stay put until they plow and salt. Jesus.

My other plans include: laundry, napping, exploring my employer-offered health insurance in-plan doctors (not like it matters, but it's cheaper in the end). I suppose I should also get around to setting up my wee new external backup HD.

Snow Day! Wo0t!!11 I am doing NOTHING! And it rocks!

Well, actually, I'm surfing the net, drinking coffee with a small, judicious application of Sailor Jerry's rum in it, taking pictures of my dogs and garden gnomes and vaguely planning on going for a walk in the remaining snow with a friend. And I'm going to stuff and roast a pork loin, too.

Tomorrow I'm off to Charleston after work to see the bf for three lovely days. Yeah, things are good.

One thing to add: this week has been interminable. On Monday I already felt like it oughta be Friday, and I was working from home because of the snowstorm. Tuesday seemed like it REALLY oughta be Friday. And so on. By today I'm sure we've all had it.

I live an hour from the beach, and an hour from the ski slopes. Both are in my plans (on separate days) for this weekend.

It kinda IS Friday for me, since I'm off tomorrow and all next week- w00t!

Laundry tonight. Tomorrow: errands during the day, come home and finish the laundry, then a friend I haven't seen in ages is coming over to hang out. Beer, pizza, video games are on tap.

I have no idea after that.

Napping, and then cleaning up my bedroom. The clutter is killing me. Literally. Also, maybe working on a quilt if I have the gumption.

I saw a brand new baby (3 days old), and someone very close to death (on a respirator in the ICU) today. It was an interesting day. Now I'm drinking vodka and enjoying the prospect of a three-day weekend!

- Stressing because of this, as my flight might be affected
- Watching American Idol
- Waiting for the microwave to ping. My dinner (leftover lemon pepper turkey stir-fry) is warming up.
- Trying not to break/chip my lovely rat-like nails.

- converting hardcopy plans into magical CAD files
- vacuuming our horrendously hairy house
- washing some rugs
- freezing to death
- moderately freaking out about the economy and hoping a lot of people will be settling for kitchen & bath renovations this year in lieu of a new house.

I stayed home sick today. Is it the weekend yet?

*still in pajamas because I didn't need to leave the house today
*caught a nap while the baby was sleeping which was lovely because I'm running a hardcore sleep deficit over the past month (everyone was sick and it was the holidays and now the baby is teething)
*did rudimentary house cleaning
*daydreamed about writing a novel
*contemplating starting new exercise program that says "lose 2 sizes in 4 weeks!"
*soon will make easy dinner for small children (grilled cheese and tomato soup)
*probably will take a bath and bathe small children while I'm at it
*possibly going out to drink wine with other neighborhood mommies tonight after small children are safely stashed in bed if my husband doesn't have to go back into work late
*really need to find copies of old leases for minor gov't auditing thing, dammit

Thursdays are good days around here, usually.

Movie glut....Clearview Chelsea has started showing DVD's instead of films for their classic series and someone in the audience smelled like he crapped himself.
