But re. manicures. I have never had one. The idea of someone touching my hands so much kind of freaks me out. But I would like my nails to be tidy, and I don't like doing it myself. It's a conundrum.
No, right now, you're the question of Metiquette, pie. If you don't want to read someone's posts on the site, feel free to post something else that would be of interest to yourself, e-mail the poster, or e-mail a moderator. You don't just crap in someone's thread.
The idea of someone touching my hands so much kind of freaks me out.
The idea of someone judging my hands freaks me out. I have big mitts with short nails, and the rigors of the archaeology lab keep them pretty roughed up. Every time I go to the doctor or to donate blood, I'm asked what happened to my hands, why I have such an assortment of scrapes.
Sometimes I wish I could have tiny soft pretty hands with sweetly varnished nails. Then I remember I can very nearly palm a basketball, and it seems like a decent trade-off.
p.s.- those sweet widdle rat hands gave me the crawlies. Do rat actually have fully articulated fingers, or is that Photoshopped?
Once I finally catch the goddamned rat in my kitchen (which, I'm fairly positive, is the ghost of the rat I inadvertently killed over xmas break), I'm going to examine its little nails. And if I like what I see, I'm going to carry it down to the local manicurist and say, "Hey, can you do mine like this?"
And then I will sit quietly and wait for the men in the white coats.
