Unofficial Photo Friday assignment. But don't open this thread yet! It's almost Noon here and there's no Photo Friday thread. So I'll make one up. This is a 10 minute photo assignment. Don't open the thread until you're at home with camera in hand. You have 10 minutes to make a photo on the subject to be revealed within...→[More:]The subject is My Collection. Go to it!

Did you cheat? No worries, I just like looking at your pretty pictures.

I, of course, cannot follow the rule, but I may post something anyway.

If there's another Photo Friday thread brewing, you may kindly ignore me...

This year my daughter has gotten into paper and scissors and has been making snowflakes and hearts by the hundreds. I have a stack, err, collection of them near my desk. Here's a few of them. She was quite delighted when I spread them out over my desk. She's not quite 5.

This is my collection of pine cones. I'm not a fan of collecting things for the sake of it (such as those series of 'collectibles' that are manufactured for the sole purpose of people collecting them). But I like to bring back a reminder of every place I've visited. I love pine cones, as a child they always fascinated me, so everywhere I go I pick up a new cone, if I can find one.

I have a couple collections that I am proud of... as they don't photograph very well as a collection, I took a couple shots of items that I think are really neat from them...

My indie comics, whose treasures include mini-comics from artists who are now household indie comics names AND books that have been "signed" like this Chris Ware book.

The other one which I got into at about the same time is my collection of screen prints... It started with Jay Ryan stuff and has expanded now, but I still wish I was a better shark at grabbing concert posters.
