Do you enjoy occasional forced time away from the 'puter? Snowstorm power outage surge fried my (yes, I'm stuck on dial-up) modem (and possibly soundcard, etc.) Luckily all = under warranty. But I'm VERY away from the 'Net (guess I just have to use 'puter to draw!) and kind of enjoying it (AS LONG AS IT'S OVER SOON.) Ghaaaah. My post here was prescient. KTKSBYE time 2 leave library! ;-)
I love it when it happens. Here in North Carolina it doesn't happen enough.

I try not to turn on my computer much when I'm at home, otherwise I constantly check to see if I received email, or if there's something new in google reader, etc.

Then again, I'm also the sort of person who no longer owns a cell phone.

I sometimes self-impose time off from the computer when I am home, unless wonderful Charter imposes it upon me as they see fit. I do enjoy it when it is my choice. When it's not my choice I become indignant and self-righteous (Oh wait, perhaps that is me all the time). I sometimes find myself composing posts or journaling in Notepad for future use when network access is denied. Seems I develop an overwhelming desire to share my useless ramblings with others when I am denied access.

Curious aside, one time when I was in Kansas City at my grandparents house for a week every rectangular shape I saw was a laptop, until I refocused and realized it was the newspaper, or magazine or place mat. So sad really.
