I tried a few ways to get it to work on my work desktop (I have new headphones and I want to try them out). Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to listen.
That's okay, I can't listen anyway. Might I suggest a listen to "Udu Wudu" or "Attahk" someday? It's really weird, but it makes me kind of spastic so I like it. Plus it's mannered French excess of the highest order. It's what CoS would listen to if they were for real. If you haven't heard it before, try it. You'll never be the same.
I think the White Stripes had got a bit formulaic so when I heard Icky Thump I had a bit of a WTF? moment. It sounds wrong in so many ways and yet it just works.
So far....
Echo & The Bunnymen - The Cutter
Charlotte Hatherley - Behave
Procol Harum - Wreck Of The Hesperus
The White Stripes - Icky Thump
The Sonics - Money
Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Two Little Hitlers
Clarence ' Frogman' Henry - Ain't Got No Home
Jacques Brel - La Biere (Beer)
Jose Gonzalez - Heartbeats
Battles - Ddiamondd
Lloyd Cole and the Commotions - So You'd Like to Save the World
