I hated 300, it was a piece of fascist crap that doesn't even have the backstory of Triumph of the Will. And, as much as I love action movies, I actually thought it was kind of boring.
(omiewise: as per usual, I'm completely out of kilter with what good, normal people think. If I were going through some kind of weird self-doubting thing now, I'd totally put that on my list of "Reasons seanyboy doesn't deserve to know anyone")
I agree with you omniwise. I thought the movie was terrible, and couldn't understand why so many people liked it. It seemed to have been written by a thirdgrader who likes shiny objects. I'm glad I pirated it and didn't pay a cent to watch it, or I'd have been extremely disappointed. What a waste of film.
I was going to go see 300 but then I didn't. No surprise I haven't seen a movie in the theater since Return of the King. Said I would go see Spiderman 3 and have not... probably will not go see Transformers either. Oh well.
Saw a commercial for Live Free or Die Hard last night. The first one was spectacular.. but Bruce, just stop. Please.
Also. Just downloaded/watched the newest episode of Doctor Who. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that they brought him back. Huh. Everything old is new again.
It was one of those comic book movies. How can people expect it to be more than just one of those comic book movies? Maybe if they didn't make it from a comic book.
I liked when the elephants hit the beach. That was cool, like when the plane sank in Cast Away.
I had no interest in it till I saw deborah's link. Especially when I clicked on the pic of him in swim trunks and got a page that said "FORBIDDEN"... way to string me along, you effin' hottie.
(I know, you can see the image if you view the whole page... er, I'll be in my bunk.)
