I haven't been watching- it's on right after ANTM, which I watch at the gym on the bike. I'm not willing to put in another hour to watch it. Plus the Pussycat Dolls themselves scare me, though I like some of their songs.

I've never actually seen the real Pussycat Dolls perform, but the show is everything you'd expect, and less!

The show actually comes on on Tuesdays at 9, and airs again on Wed, so the season finale is tonight.

mischief, get her moment with the PCDs, you mean?

kd: They began as a burlesque dance act in LA. In 2003, they began recording and touring, and in 2005, a parallel group revived the burlesque aspect for the Pussycat Lounge in the Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace here in Vegas.

Christina Applegate was involved with designing the original concept with Robin Antin, so you can take it from there.

See, that's the whole reason I despise them. If they were all "hey, it's porn, we go on tour and strip, and up yours if you don't like it" I'd be fine since I have no problem with that.

But I hate how they present it as some post riot girl feminist to-do because they're pierced and tattooed (while still pretty much fitting the typical porn mold physically). They're shaking tits for cash, most of which goes to the guy running the page and not them, not working for NOW.

You're describing Suicide Girls, right? Because that's not PCD. During this show I didn't notice a lot of tats or piercings, if any at all. They make no excuses for what they are...an over the top, flirty, sexy girl band with passable voices and decent dance moves. They're selling sex, but there's no manifesto to go with it. They just want to be HAWT.

I've never watched them or bought a CD or downloaded a song or anything...I just thought the show would be a hoot and it totally is. I mean, one of the judges is Li'l Kim. Come on.

Well, if you want unapologetic porn that actually does what SG (regardless of it's other charms) claims to do, there's ishotmyself and Abby Winters (both obviously NSFW). But I've always been of the view that porn in porn and politics is politics and never the twain shall meet.

Is this really true? I know the business end is pretty fucked up and hypocritical, but I do think SG did a lot for expanding the pallette of body types in porn.

(Uh, I guess partipating in the derail means I won't admit to watching the pussydoll thing.)
