heh, of course around here Home Depot came a few years ago and to build a store they tore down a couple dozen acres of forest, blasted a road (not a driveway mind you) trough a hillside where there was none before, added significantly to the strip mall effect where it built, all in defiance of a non-binding city resolution asking that the land they used not be developed, but you know they care about the environment and stuff.

(sorry, I don't mean to rain on anybody's parade, but that whole episode left a bad taste in my mouth re: Home Despot, plus a certain cynical part of me thinks this is a PR campaign because of the horrible drubbing HD has taken in the press the pass year or so)

All our lights are CFL's. Have been for more than 10 years. Less heat and less power consumption. What's not to love.

But I hear what you are saying about HD.

er, yeah that wasn't aimed at CFLs, 95% of what we use are those, about once a year in MN the power company subsidizes the purchase price and you can get them for ` $1 - $3 a bulb at the local hardware store, bee's knees and cat's pajamas

Did you know ....
* A CFL saves the equivalent of 1/10 a gallon of gas
* Driving to Home Depot requires 1/10 a gallon of gas
