Maybe it was the flash. I took a picture of the inside of my mouth (I've scheduled an appointment at the dentist for next week and I was curious) and, frankly, with the roof of the mouth so bright pink and the teeth so white and all, at 6 megapixel, seen at 100% on my computer, it's kinda shocking. Not as shocking as goatse, but pretty shocking. Have you ever tried to photograph your own teeth, too?

You never see the inside of your mouth, so it's bound to look weird. You know, like when a dog yawns and you can see all the ridges on the roof of their purple-ish mouth and their bunched up tongue. Odd.

Yes. Yes I have. But my camera is a bit too large so you have to choose between the flash and the lens being able to get at your mouth, and they're kinda useless on their own.

I remember doing this drunk with a friend in the '90's. We took my video camera and plugged it into the TV so we could watch ourselves live. We turned on the macro lens and the cheesy spotlight thing on the camera and did extreme closeups of mouths, nostrils, ears, etc. It was nauseating. I remember he had just eaten potato chips.

I taped it, too, I remember. He moved back to Norway right after...I should send him the tape...oh, nostalgia...

(also, I'm drinking a 16oz can of Ballantine Ale right now. On the front of the can, under the logo, it says in big letter "HALF QUART." Is this their idea of a sly trick?)

jonmc, explain this joke to me. Obviously I'm not too quick on the uptake tonight. A quart is 32 ounces right? Are you reading it as half-court, half-assed? What? Is Ballantine Ale good?

I'm on my third Bud Lite and very tipsy. I can't hang with the big dogs.

It's cheap suds on the level of Sclitz & Schaefer. I just kind of find it funny that they seem to think that "Half Quart" is somehow more impressive than "Pint," somehow.
