I officially have a new job! The background check finally came through, so it's official. I start on Monday. Whee!
And yes, this was the job that made me interview four times. Four interviews, plus a background check. For a part-time job. But I get my own office! With pretty views of downtown! Woo!
Carmina, it's at Market and 2nd street, so kinda sorta near Chinatown. And I have been wanting to go to the House of Nanking for years; I have no idea why I never get myself over there. (Well, yes, I do, it's because it's near one of my favoritest Italian restaurants ever, and once I get anywhere near that neighborhood I start craving grilled radicchio wrapped in prosciutto. Which is not very Chinese.)
I was weirdly worried about the background check. Like they were going to dig up something I had forgotten I'd done.
Anyway, it seems like a super-cool job that will use all my super-cool skills in super-cool ways, and the office seems filled with super-cool people who like to debate a lot of things, so, in a way, I can think of the last months I've wasted on MetaFilter as training. :)
