Tired of winter? Daydream ofspring, summer, and fall.NB: →[More:]I'm not tired of winter. It is 4 degrees this morning and I still cycle to work and I like it. Suck - as they say - it, haters.
We're getting snow (Central Indiana) and I freaking LOVE IT. I went shopping and I got a couple movies to watch, came home, went back out to the post office and the grocery store. And my plan for the rest of the day is...NOTHING. I'm going to watch movies and play with my dog and maybe nap. The snow wasn't supposed to get heavy until dinnertime but it showed up hours early so nobody was ready for it - so everybody on the roads was like, "OH NOES, snow!" - I also love driving in it. When I came out of the store somebody had crashed into a snowplow so I had to cut back a different way to get home.
You people are crazy. The recent snow was pretty since I hadn't seen it in a while, but I am SO glad we have this one warm day to enjoy. It's around 60 outside but it is too windy to take most of the houseplants out to water them, too wet from melting snow to mess with cleaning up some of the limbs and other assorted yard debris and the ground is too hard from the super cold nights we have had lately to move any of the plants that need shifted around. So I gave up on finding something to do outside and came back in to finish going through my shit/cleaning. I have the window open to enjoy the day though.
I am vacuuming everything including behind and under furniture, going through boxes and rubbermaid containers and throwing away anything I can, seeing what I can find to eBay or give to someone, generally trying to organize stuff better. I need more hanging space in my closet. I have WAY WAY WAY too many clothes.
We just don't get enough snow. I love to go for walks around the bog here in the snow, checking out the birds and enjoying the silence. They said chance of snow tonight, but I know I'll just be disappointed again.
Funny thing, I have daffodils starting to come up despite the single digit temps.
LOL. I have the news on and there's a woman standing in front of the tv station building doing a live report from downtown and there was a guy walking on the other side of the street and she yelled, "How's it going for you sir?" and he screamed back, "FUCK YOU, LADY." And the tv lady went, "Well, okay then."
