Sorry about the delay on this thing, folks. We need three people comfortable with taking one of the initial squares. I nominate box, kyleg, and LoriFLA. Are you all ok with that?

If so, please create a 200x200 pixel square. Save it as a 24-bit bitmap (or high-quality bitmap, or whatever your program of choice allows.) Keep in mind that all four sides of your square will be built upon by neighbors. Please try to have them done within 3 days or so. Send the completed square to agropyron@gmail.com.

No common theme... Although I thought it might be appropriate to choose a starting color for the background. Since our last one branched out from one square, we all shared a common color. Let's start with red this time. Do with it whatever you want. Here's a 200x200 red square for you to mangle.

I wish I had a pen to go with MS Paint. Is there such a thing? Using a mouse on a 200 x 200 square is difficult. Of course it can be done, but a pen-type tool would be great.

Whew--that took ten seconds and several buckets of virtual paint, but now that initial square is redder than Helen Gahagan Douglas.

Great time box.

My PC's mouse was sticking and driving me crazy. I bit the bullet and did it on the laptop. I can't wait to see how the completed project turns out.
